Move your eyes and concentration around to different parts of the following illusion :

It took some time and experimentation to be able to design an image that "moves".
Can you see what properties of the above image gives the illusion of motion?

The illusion of the "phantom shape" (a triangle) is immediatly apparant.

Read the color of the words below (not the actual words), try to do it as fast as you can. Is it difficult?

Although the dark lines are straight -- they appear bent because of the circle pattern underneath. 

Vertical and Horizontal Lines appear, though they are only an illusion. A fun project done in Adobe Illustror and finished up with Photoshop.

I would of loved to make this into a poster or wallpaper, but I lost the original Illustrator file in a hard drive crash. (The Great Hard Drive Crash of '05). R.I.P.

Nothing much going on, eh? Now look at the same image flipped:

We can see just how odd the upside down eyes and smile look now.

The area near the center of the above illusion appears lighter than the surrounding area.

Neat 3D effect created in the image below. This is actually one of the few illusions on this site that I didn't create myself.

 

Classic Illusion. The dots are all white, but appear to change color.

This illusion really messes with my eyes... it was very difficult to create without puking a little in my mouth.
